A key component to preventing willful acts of animal abuse is the education of animal caregivers on downed animal care and humane euthanasia techniques. An online non-ambulatory cattle management training program that allows tracking of the people who have completed the training is now available in English and Spanish for animal caregivers on beef and dairy cattle operations (www.animalcaretraining.org).
