Soldiers from the Northern Hills' 842nd Engineering Co. have
been called from training for deployment to Afghanistan to battle
flooding in Pierre and Fort Pierre.
Maj. Brendan Murphy said that 24 heavy equipment operators for the
842nd had been called from Camp Guernsey, Wyo. The unit was
beginning its second week of training in anticipation of a year in
Afghanistan.
