BELLE FOURCHE - Soldiers from the Northern Hills' 842nd
Engineering Co. have been called from training for deployment to
Afghanistan to battle against Missouri River flood waters at Pierre
and Ft. Pierre.
Maj. Brendan Murphy said in Rapid City Sunday, May 29, 2011,
that 24 heavy equipment operators for the 842nd had been called
from Camp Guernsey, Wyo. The unit was beginning their second week
of annual training in anticipation of a year of construction work
