Devon and Cornwall Police is to start supplying highly trained dogs to other forces across the country following the success of a near 20-year programme.
The force was among the first in the UK to develop an in-house puppy-training facility 18 years ago while others continued to purchase already-trained adult animals.
That expertise – combined with using a proven bloodline from former border dogs in the Czech Republic – means the force is now planning to sell
